Addition of a new Horizontal Scissor Style Metal Saw

Plymouth Industries, Inc. has added a new Horizontal Scissor Style Metal Saw to their facility.

The addition of this device will allow for increased production capacity while also providing more accurate cutting of structural steel.

Made by Marvel Manufacturing Company Inc. Here is some of what this machine offers.

Touch Screen Operator Control Panel

Conveniently located on the left hand side of the machine and offers full control of all machine functions such as; vises, blade speed, saw frame, bundle clamping, parts counter, shuttle advance and retract, coolant and work light.

Automatic Self Cleaning System

Powered from the main drive shaft of the saw, the brush changes speed along with the blade to assure that chips are being removed from each gullet of the blade, improving cutting performance and blade life.

The chip auger rotating in the coolant return removes chips quickly and efficiently, freeing the operator to perform more productive operations. Coolant is allowed to drain back to the
tank before the chips are removed from the machine.

Some of the other features of this machine include:

  • Speed Ranges between 70 and 330 SFPM.
  • Hydraulically controlled tension (30,000 psi) provides a consistent square cutting accuracy.
  • An Out of Stock Switch that shuts off the machine automatically when material is no longer present in the rear vise jaws.
  • All Motors are dual voltage, 230 or 460 volts, 3 ph. 60 Hz.
