Plymouth Industries, Inc. has had great success partnering with Lakeshore Technical College’s Youth Apprenticeship program. Company President, John J. Knowles shares: “Currently, we employ two outstanding welder apprentices that contribute to daily production as well as challenge our veteran staff through training and coaching interactions. Due to Sheboygan County’s skilled labor shortage and competitive labor market, investing in young talented tradesmen has been key to workforce growth.”
Youth apprentices are excited to learn and take on new challenges. This energy often is shared by the mentors and trainers working with our apprentices daily. We hope through the positive learning environment provided by Plymouth Industries, Inc. we can nurture an apprentice into a long-term team member. It is with this mutually beneficial outcome in mind, that we partner annually with LTC to help shape a stronger manufacturing future.
